Dance and Film
Kara Miller is a digital media artist and choreographer. She is currently a Lecturer in the Dance Department at the University of California Irvine where she teaches Dance and Digital to undergraduate and graduate students. Her digital projects have included collaborations with dancers and artists in Southeast Asia, Mexico, Europe, and the United States.

Ms. Miller is a graduate of The Juilliard School at Lincoln Center in Dance. As a choreographer and educator, she served as the Artistic Director of the Omega Dance Company where she presented performances and workshops nationally. After 12 years in New York, she relocated to California to pursue an interest in filmmaking. She has worked professionally in broadcast television and film.

Her research interests are Dance for the Camera, Documentary, and Video Projection stage design.
